Play every golf course like it’s your home course with NoteCaddie

If you’re looking to improve your golf game, you may have tried a number of devices – from swing analyzers to putting guides, GPS devices to apps. But I bet you haven’t tried anything like this, because I’ve not seen anything like it on the market.

The guys at NoteCaddie, Louis Oviedo and Chris Takimoto, are creating a powerful tool that you can carry with you everywhere you go, helping to improve your game without you changing how you play at all.

You can check out the video below, taken from their Kickstarter campaign, to find out a bit more from the team firsthand – but what I like best about it is their core philosophy.

Golfers play better on their home course, or the courses they go to most often. The reasoning is pretty straightforward: you know how it plays; you know every detail; you know what to do and when.

And NoteCaddie hopes to recreate that feeling on every course you play. How? Take a look:

The philosophy is simple: you take notes while you play, with a voice-to-text feature that allows you to keep your focus on the game at hand. These are applied to your current hole, which you can then call upon every time you play the course.

There is also a green notes feature, where you can use drawing tools to recreate the undulations and breaks on the green – helping you to hone in on your gameplan before and after you putt.

What’s more, there is a whole community at your fingertips. What does this mean? Well, your notes are displayed for other users to see – and their notes are in your hand, too. You can be paired to these based on handicap and distance, so even if you’re a first timer on a particular course, you’ll feel as though you’ve played it before.

With NoteCaddie, even if you've never played the course before, you will feel like you have.

The notes don’t just help on the course you’re playing at that moment, they will benefit you every time you come back – because you can visualize every hole, along with all of your past results to see where you went wrong or what you did particularly well.

And it’s not just the notes that make NoteCaddie so handy. It’s a GPS as well, so you can get a feel for where you are on the course and all the distances involved with every shot.

Want to give it a try? You can start by getting involved with the KickStarter campaign, where you can back the project.
