Jordan Spieth and Jason Day headline the Presidents Cup this Thursday

This week marks the first time in history that the Presidents Cup will be played in Asia, and what a competition it’s set to be! Two sensational golfers in their prime, Jordan Spieth and Jason Day, each headline a team of players who are at the top of their game, and it’s sure to be a fantastic few days at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea.

Two years ago, Team USA won the Cup in Ohio for the fifth successive time, and you can bet that the International Team are feeling the sense of occasion as they prepare for the Cup to get underway later this week.

It’s a cracking course – over 7,400 foot long, enough to challenge even the finest players. And in a break from the Cup’s young tradition, the format will be different this year.

Over the first two days of competition, we’ll be treated to five matches of fourball and five matches of foursomes. This is cut back to four of both on the third day, and then on the final day as crunch time looms, twelve singles matches will be played.

With only a few days to go before the two side clash, you can find some great information in the blogs the captains are writing. They’re an interesting insight into the minds of these professional players, going into everything from the pressure of this level of play to motivation and leadership.
